Sunrise Worship is an Easter Tradition for many christians and for the people of Blue Mound UMC.
Worship By The Cross on the Triestch Family Farm followed by Breakfast in the Farm House.
Coming South from Sanger, TX:
On I-35 – exit 475B, Rector Road
Exit – cross over I-35 to Cowling
Road and turn right. Stay on
black top Cowling Road – go
under the railroad and go to the
top of hill – turn left on Henry
Lane between two brick houses –
Follow lane to my home.

Coming North from Denton, TX
On I-35 – Take Cowling Road –
Exit 474 – take a right on Cowling
at the end of the ramp/double white
lines – follow Cowling Road past
green top house, blue trailer – take
a right on Henry Lane between two
brick houses and follow the lane to
(from exit 474 approx. 1 mile)
The white frame home that was built in 1933 by Henry and Pearl Trietsch.
The Trietsch farm has been in continuous operation for over 100 years.
Shirley Trietsch Haisler and Evelyn Trietsch Yeatts grew up and lived there along with their brother Thomas. The cross has been on the hill for over 60 years.
The Easter Sunrise Service will be Sunday April 1 at 6:45 AM Rain or Shine. Pastor Fields will lead the Service. Come dressed warmly. You may bring a blanket to sit on if you like. Breakfast will be served at the Trietsch home following the service. It is furnished by Nancy Franklin and Kay Trietsch. Robert Franklin will put out signs to help direct traffic. Everyone is welcome.
