AN UPDATE ON WEARING MASKS AT BLUE MOUND
On behalf of the Blue Mound Leadership Team, I am writing to let you know that effective immediately, for those who are fully vaccinated, masks are preferred but optional at all ministry events, including worship, unless otherwise publicized. This is in concert with guidelines given to us by our Bishop, Michael McKee, and the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control (CDC). To be clear, “fully vaccinated” is defined by Bishop McKee and the CDC as “two weeks after receiving a second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or two weeks after receiving the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccination.”
With these new guidelines in place, I also strongly encourage everyone, vaccinated or not, to bring a mask with you to church. And when we are near someone else who is wearing a mask, we can put our mask on as well out of the Jesus-like love and respect for that person, our sibling in Christ!
