Let’s Just Praise the Lord Bill Gaither, 1972
Let’s just praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let’s just lift our hearts to heaven and praise the Lord;
Let’s just praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let’s just lift our hearts to heaven and praise the Lord!
O we thank you for your kindness, we thank you for your love,
We have been in heavenly places, felt blessings from above;
We’ve been sharing all the good things, the family can afford,
Let’s just turn our hearts toward heaven and praise the Lord.
Just the precious name of Jesus is worthy of our praise,
Let us bow our knees before Him, our hands to heaven raise;
When He comes in clouds of glory, with Him to ever reign,
Let’s just lift our happy voices, and praise His name.
Shout to the Lord, Darlene Zschech 2008
My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like
You All of my days I want to praise, The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort, my shelter Tower of refuge and strength Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship You
Shout to the Lord all the Earth, let us sing Power and majesty, praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work of Your hand- Forever I’ll love You, forever I’ll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have In You
These two songs were released about 36 years apart. Today many churches have Praise & Worship Services before the pastor gives a message. Praising the Lord is NOT out of date or old fashion. I did a word search of the Bible on “PRAISE”.
I would like to challenge all of you to do your own search to learn more about Praise to the Lord. The Book of Psalms is loaded with verses. You might want to start there but please don’t stop with just one book of the Bible. – Linda
